About
Us
The
Fred Astaire Dance Studio tradition
began in
1947, when Mr. Fred Astaire, considered to
be the greatest multitalented dancer of
all time,
personally developed a practical, interrelated
ballroom dance curriculum for the first
Fred
Astaire Dance Studio in New York City on Park
Avenue. Over the decades, Fred Astaire
Franchised
Dance Studios have expanded nationally and
internationally with a trade name that
is synonymous with excellence.
All Fred Astaire Dance Studios respectfully
adhere to the basic principles of dance
instruction
established by the ballroom dance maestro,
Mr. Fred Astaire.
As
Fred Astaire Dance Studios owners,
managers, and teachers, we have the
privilege, honor, and pleasure of upholding
the Fred Astaire
Dance Studios tradition while teaching generations
of ballroom dance students!
From the moment you step into a Fred Astaire
Dance Studios, you’ll realize we’re steps
above
the rest. From our beginner
to our advanced dance programs we continue
to set the standards of excellence in teaching.
Our teachers are nationally and internationally
certified professional teachers with hundreds
of hours of training behind them. All of our
dance instructors have been ballroom dancing
since childhood
and have earned multiple dance awards and credentials
that attest to their high caliber of dancing
skill. They have the ability, dedication and
compassion to help you develop into the kind
of dancer you are striving to be.
We
invite you to experience the proven, unique
Fred Astaire System
of Dance Instruction. Learning to dance
is great fun! Just relax and let the magic
of ballroom
dancing take its natural course as we partner
with you to realize your full dancing potential.
Whether you wish to learn as a couple or on
your own, dancing is a lifetime investment
in
fun, poise, confidence, improved relationships,
and new friends. Beyond these benefits,
dancing is an effective physical conditioner
that improves physical and mental health -
providing fun without working at it! It opens
up a
wonderful
new world of togetherness and a thriving year-round
social calendar.
